The main differences are

On our scheduled departures you travel on a set date and itinerary with a small group of fellow trekkers/ climbers who are new to you. On a Tailor-Made trip, you can choose one of our existing itineraries and set a departure date that suits you instead. You could also modify an existing itinerary, or have something tailored from scratch to build a program just for yourself.
We recommend a minimum of two people but have tailored many trips for a single person as well! The no of people on a trip has a direct correlation with the cost of the trip. If you pick up any of our scheduled departures and make it a private trip, the costs become comparable to the scheduled departure costs for when the group size is of 6 or more people. As the number of guests go up on a private trip, the cost per person keeps coming down and vice-versa.
Once you send us a query (or fill up the form) one of our guides will speak to you & give you various options based on your interests, season & duration of the trip that you have in mind. We will then design an itinerary for you & finalise all the services as per your needs. After an itinerary is finalised we send you a cost proposal. Once you approve the proposal, you are requested to make a deposit and fill up a booking form to confirm your trip.
Yes. On Tailor-made Experience the cost proposal is worked out on a basis of a certain group size. If some people cancel and the group size is still above the planned group size there is no/ minimal cancellation charge on individuals who cancel. If some people cancel and group size reduces below the initially planned group size, the cost would go up for the remaining travellers and their could be minimal cancellation charge on people who have cancelled. If the entire trip gets cancelled there would be a cancellation charge on the trip which is dependent on the type of the trip. The cancellation policy for each trip is mentioned along with the cost proposal.
